“Holy – what the hell was that?!”

“My feet are cold.”

“Yeah, I noticed,” Cain grumbled, rolling over to face Glitch. “You just stuck them against the back of my thigh.”

“You’re warm,” Glitch grinned impishly, cuddling closer under the covers.

Cain narrowed his eyes. “Why are your feet so cold?”

“Must have fallen asleep with them sticking out from under the blankets.”

“Well, next time make sure they’re all the way covered,” Cain sighed and wiggled his way into Glitch’s space. “Bring ‘em here.”

Glitch grinned and drew up his knees, sticking his icy feet in between Cain’s legs happily.

Jeb paced back and forth in the hallway outside the formal meeting room, where Wyatt, Glitch, DG, and a handful of others waited to proceed with the ceremony. The Queen was no doubt at her desk, fussing with long finished paperwork. And Raw...

Biting his lip, Jeb circled again. The door opened and he looked up to see his father, giving Jeb a silent questioning look.

Jeb opened his mouth, closed it again wordlessly.

“Cold feet?” Wyatt asked softly.

Shaking his head, Jeb straightened up all the way. “No, sir.”

“Then get your butt in here. You’re making Raw nervous.”

“Where are your shoes?” Wyatt asked his eight-annual old son. He stood in the doorway of the family cabin, arms crossed sternly.

Jeb shrugged and looked down at his mud-soaked socks.

Wyatt pursed his lips and crouched down to eye level. “Son, if those Emmerson boys are picking on you again, you let me know, understood? We can’t have you walking all the way home from school without shoes. You’ll have cold feet.”

“They’re in the pond next to the apple trees,” Jeb murmured. “Jacob pushed me down and his brother took my shoes and threw them in the water.”

These are all cute, but Wyatt telling Glitch to “Bring ‘em here.” is ADORABLE. He really does have a heart, doesn't he? ^^

*wiggles happily* That line makes me happy, too. :D Wyatt loves Glitch - even if it means putting up with cold feet between his legs. That's commitment right there!

Thank you kindly, as always!!
