Cat 2, Us 0

Yeah. So, we made our first attempt at home cat grooming this evening (we've had her for 5 years). Usually, we'd take her to a pro groomer where she gets her bathings and haircuts, but we wanted to try it ourselves. We have an electric razor for pets, cat shampoo, and everything.

The shaving - it totally didn't work. The trimmer just did not take the hair off like we were expecting, we got very little even with no sized covers on it. *sigh*

The bathing (after the shaving) - well, she got soaked, shampooed, and rinsed. She was ANGRY, needless to say - and I'm totally soaked.

We suck at being groomers. I'll just take her in this week for her lion cut and let them deal with her rage.

You are so brave! I managed to trim 4 whole claws on my beast this weekend.

Didn't you know? Cat bathing is a Martial Art. It requires years of study and practice.

Also, a chain mail shirt. With long sleeves.

You are brave. Though I'm told that BabyGirl enjoys her bath (for the rubbing) and blow dry (for the brushing), it's something that I would never attempt myself.
